Unicity’s Franchise Advisory Board met for a full day in Long Beach March 30th. The focus on this full day meeting was customer and Franchise development. This article will highlight some of the keys to success that they discussed.

The Bios Life Franchise Business Model
If you have the desire to build a large and growing Bios Life Franchise, you’ll want to follow our simple business model called the 5-20-3. This is where you find 5 franchise owners, 20 customers, and duplicate the model 3 levels deep. When this has been accomplished the residual income from your business will exceed $100,000 a year.


What’s the Hardest Part of the 5-20-3 Franchise Business Model?

The hardest part of the 5-20-3 model, is not in finding 5 franchise owners or 20 customers—that’s easy. The hardest part is duplicating the model three levels deep! Fortunately, there’s an easy, fear-free method of building your business in way that can be most easily duplicated.

Make Sharing the Franchise Opportunity Easier
When you introduce the Bios Life Franchise opportunity to people, you’re not only telling them about the Franchise opportunity, you’re showing them how we introduce the business to people. For this reason, it should be your goal to introduce the business to others in a way that can be most easily duplicated.


If you introduce the business to people by doing personal one-on-one presentations, you’re showing them that they would need to do personal one-on-one presentations also, if they choose to start their own Bios Life Franchise. If on the other hand, you introduce the business to people through one of our professionally produced business presentation CDs, you are teaching them that they would also introduce the business to others using the same CDs.

The Secret Questions You Never Hear
Professionally produced CDs present our products and opportunity better than most of us can do ourselves. But there are other important reasons to use CDs. When prospective franchise owners are introduced to our business, there are three questions they ask themselves. If they don’t have a positive response to these questions, they will choose not to join us.

Can I Do This?
It’s natural for people considering our business to ask themselves this question. For this reason, it should be your goal to introduce the business to people in such a way where they can see themselves doing this business. Of all the presentation methods we have used over the years, we have learned that more people can see themselves passing out CDs, than another other presentation method we have used.

 
 

Do I Have Time to Do This Business?
Nowadays, everybody’s busy. For prospects to be attracted to our business, they must believe they have time to do it. Therefore, you should introduce the business to people in such a way that your prospects can see themselves as having time to build their business. Of all the presentation methods available, the one that requires the least amount of time is passing out CDs.

   
 

Can I See Myself Introducing This Business to My Family, Friends and Acquaintances?
For people to have a positive response to this question, they must be introduced to the business in such a way where they can see themselves doing the same thing with those they know. Once again, of all the presentation options we have used over the years, a professionally produced CD has given people the confidence that they can give the same CD to those they know.

As a board, we feel that the most effective way to attract new franchise owners and duplicate our business model is by using one or more of our professionally produced business presentation CDs.


Two-a-Day Every Day!

To be successful in finding your 5 franchise owners and 20 customers, you must take consistent daily action.

As board member Todd Smith has said for years, “The key to success as an entrepreneur is having the discipline to do what you know you should do, everyday, even when you don’t feel like doing it.” If you want to be successful, you must take consistent action daily, even if it is only 15 minutes a day.

Dating back to the very first training program released in 1991, called the Power of Two, the importance of making two contacts a day has been stressed. Passing out two CDs a day, can be done in as little as 15 minutes per day.

The Power of Two-a-Day Every Day
Let’s take a quick look at the power of making two introductions a day and duplicating it in your organization.

If you will commit to making two introductions a day, every day, and find five people who will each commit to making two introductions a day, your team will be making 360 introductions a month. If you help your five franchise owners each find five new franchise owners who each commit to making twointroductions a day, then more then 1,860 introductions will be taking place in your business each month.


Do you think if 1,860 people were being introduced to our products and business each month your business would grow? You know it would!


Where to Look for Opportunities for Two-a-Day Every Day
Here are some examples of how you might find new franchise owners in the course of a normal day.

You could be at a social event when someone asks you what you do for a living. You can tell them that you represent an international franchisor and your primary responsibility is helping people start their own part time franchises. You could then offer them a CD that explains our franchise opportunity in more detail.
 
You may be talking to a friend who is frustrated with his job, so you share your enthusiasm about what you are doing and ask if he would like to borrow one of your CDs to learn more.
 
You may know someone who could use a little extra money each month, so after a brief introduction you give her a CD.
 
You can look in the newspaper during your lunch hour and identify two people being recognized for something. You can then send them a short note congratulating them, along with a brief introduction of our business and a CD.
 
When you receive good service from a sales clerk or waiter, you can compliment him and let him know you are helping expand a franchise system in the area and give him a copy of this CD. 
 
During one of your 15 minute breaks at the office, you can write two short notes to two people you know introducing them to your new business and enclose a CD.
 
When your customers tell you about the positive results they are having using Bios Life, you could ask them if they would like to make some money recommending Bios Life to others. If they show an interest, you could give them this CD.

The ideas are endless. The key is being creative and making it a priority to give out two CDs a day, every day.

Your best potential prospects will be those who you know, but we all meet new people each day who could be become great franchise owners. Rather than skip over these people, we should look for ways to compliment them and see if they would be open to learning about our business.


Two-a-Day Every Day Works for Finding Franchise Partners and Customers

If you’ll have the discipline to pass out two business presentation CDs a day, not only will you be successful in finding new Franchise Partners, but you will also be successful in finding customers.

When people are introduced to the business, they’re also being introduced to Bios Life. Often, those who choose not to participate in our business will have an interest in becoming a customer. So, we can be effective in finding our 5 franchise owners and 20 customers by simply making a commitment to pass out 2 business presentation CDs a day.

Another way to find new customers is by giving them one of our product education CDs. Two great options are, “Hope from the Heart” which is a powerful product presentation by Dr. Gerald Bresnahan.

Rahman Johar Appointed General Manager of Unicity, Malaysia

Unicity is please to announce the appointment of Rahman Johar as the new General Manager of Unicity, Malaysia. He will replace Tony Ng, who will be helping to build Unicity in northern Malaysia.

Rahman has over 20 years experience in direct sales and was a former General Manager for Unicity Singapore.

Darlene has a strong and diverse background in business and customer relations. Her expertise includes production and quality control, human resources, contract negotiating, employee relations, job implementation, customer service, and all aspects of accounting.

She was one of the first women in the heavy construction field in Canada and also owned an award winning custom-design home building company.

In 1988 Darlene became the first female member of Rotary International paving the way for women in Rotary today. Darlene is also a certified facilitator for time management and personal excellence with the Pacific Institute.

Lori Finlay Hamilton

Lori Finlay Hamilton serves on the Unicity Medical Advisory Board and is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (NP), licensed in the state of Georgia.

She received her graduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, and did her post- graduate work as an adult NP, with prescriptive license, from

the University of Utah. Her experience includes more than 10 years in critical care and clinical faculty at the University of Utah College of Nursing. Subsequently, she worked as NP for a large cardiology practice in Salt Lake City (SLC) before assuming the role of Cardiology NP for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition to her role of patient management in the cardiology clinics, she created, founded, and managed a large multi-disciplinary Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Clinic that became a national model.

Lori has authored numerous articles and a chapter in a major nursing textbook. She has lectured nationally for several prominent companies, and has been heard at numerous venues in Metro Atlanta.

Lori is leading women of various backgrounds in sharing the Bios Life message in ways that honor feminine traits and energy. She continues to lecture on integrative/preventative health and has invested several years to become an expert in women's health issues. She is dedicated to delivering integrative, customized hormone solutions for women and the ones they love.
