How to Download Conference Calls |
If you’ve been wondering how to listen to the Conference calls on your MP3 player (like an iPod),here’s how to download the files: 
Download: Right-click on the "Download" option, select the "Save Target As" option (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As" (Firefox or Netscape), and specify where on your computer you want the file stored.
After the download is complete, you can play the file by double-clicking on the MP3 file just stored which will automatically start your MP3 player software and play the talk.
You now have the call stored on your computer and can play it again without downloading, start it in the middle, or even make a recording to CD or MP3 player if you like. |

Before we discuss inviting the people you meet each day to learn more about the Bios Life Franchise, do this challenge:
Spend the next 5 minutes seeing how many things you can find that are colored purple. Go ahead— get up and start looking around— in drawers, closets, book shelves, wherever you want to look. Ready? Go!
How many purple things did you find? Starting out, did you think you’d find so many?

The Focus of This Week’s Call
This past Monday evening, Todd Smith and special guest Jan Bloom shared their experience, ideas, and offered direction on how to introduce the Bios Life Franchise opportunity to people you don’t know.
While most Franchise Owners have initial success by working with people they already know, if you’re committed to introducing the Bios Life Franchise opportunity to 2 people everyday, eventually you’ll run out of people you know.
Who are the people you don’t know? You bump into them all day long—at the grocery store, coffee shop, soccer practice, pumping gas. You stand behind them in lines; they serve you in restaurants, behind counters, and sit next to you on the plane. You find them all over—if you look for them. Once you find them, then what? |

Conversation Anxiety
Jan recommends just “trying conversations on.” Get in the habit of starting simple conversations—and see where they go. “You’d be surprised how many conversations lead to health or money,” she said.
Jan confesses that becoming a conversation starter is a learned skill set that is only developed through practice. Comment on the weather, give a sincere compliment, and show an interest in the life of the other person by asking questions about them.
“What do I do when I feel uncomfortable?” asked Jan, “I keep moving forward. That’s a good sign—if you feel uncomfortable, that means you’re growing.”
Listen, Listen, Listen
You will be amazed at what you’ll learn about somebody just by listening—even when you’ve just met them. More often than not, the clues

What do you Say When Asked, “What do you Do?” |
What do you say when someone asks you “The Question,” you know—“What do you do?” Too many Franchise Owners are caught flat-footed with this question.
What comes out of your mouth could be the most important Franchise-building thing you do all day. “One of the things you want to memorize,” said Todd Smith in this Monday’s Franchise Building call, “is your response to this question, so you can respond instantly. You don’t want to be stumbling when someone asks you this question.”
“Your goal is to create interest and curiosity—so that they ask you questions,” said Todd.
Here are some guidelines to help you craft what you say. Your statement should accomplish four things: |

It actively transfers specific information about how the listener could benefit from hearing more about what you do.

It’s immediately and obviously beneficial to the hearer.
-
It’s self-explanatory and ultra-simple—you don’t have to use big words or expressions.
-
It’s easy to replicate in someone’s mind, meaning that they “get it” right away and can turn around and explain it to someone else, using the same words you did.

Todd gave these responses as examples:
“I work with a major international franchisor and I help people start their own part-time franchises that don’t interfere with their full-time jobs.”
“I’m a franchise consultant with a major franchisor and I help people start their own businesses working part-time without interfering with their full-time careers. It’s pretty cool because people can start their own franchise with low start-up costs and no fixed monthly overhead.”
“My full-time job is as a (your job), but what I’m most excited about is what I do part-time. I’m working with a small group of entrepenurers—medical and business professionals—to help expand a unique franchise opportunity here in (your town). What’s so attractive about it is that it’s designed for people who want to diversify their income by starting their own business without interfering with their full-time careers.”
Then What?
After your short answer Todd recommends that you, “Be quiet and see if they respond with asking questions.”
If they show interest and ask questions tell them that you’d be happy to give them one of our brochures and a CD that explains more. Give them the Profiles of Success brochure, a business presentation CD, and your contact information.

Compensation Plan Reminder –
Manager Maintenance |
Franchise Owners who achieve the rank of Manager and would like to continue as a Manager are required to accumulate 2,000 PV each year.
A Manager who does not accumulate 2,000 PV within the next 12 month period and each 12 month period thereafter will lose the rank of Manager and will be required to re-qualify to receive Manager benefits in the future.
The 12 month period begins the month after qualifying to become a Manager. For those that transitioned into the new plan as a Manager, your 12 month period began with September 2006, and it ends on August 31, 2007.
To continue receiving Manager benefits, please make sure that you have your cumulative PV to 2,000 by that time. |
