As people mature, subtle changes may become apparent in their vision.
Although it may cause some concern, such vision changes are considered
a normal and expected part of growing older. However, with recent gains
in research on health and longevity, we can take positive action to protect
our eyes. Routine evaluations by a health care provider, living a healthy,
active lifestyle and proper nutrition all play a vital role in eye health.
With this in mind, Unicity's Vision Complete formula contains some of
the most useful nutrients to support and maintain the health of your eyes
including alpha lipoic acid, bilberry and eyebright. In addition, Vision
Complete features patented** FloraGLO® lutein in concentrated, purified
form to support the macula and patented Bioperine® to enhance nutrient
absorption.

No. 5,382,714.
***Bioperine® is a registered trademark of Sabinsa Corporation, U.S. Patent

Research Brief
Your eyes are composed of the pupils, cornea, lens, retina, macula, capillaries
and optic nerve. The eye lens is similar to the lens of a camera that
sharpens the image as light enters the opening. The macula, located in
the middle of the retina, allows you to see fine details. The cornea,
retina, capillaries and optic nerve work together to facilitate visual
acuity.
Risk factors that can affect the health of your eyes are tobacco smoke,
sunlight, diets deficient in antioxidant-containing fruits and vegetables,
excessive alcohol, saturated fats and sugar. One way to protect the health
of your eyes is to reduce saturated fat and cholesterol in your diet by
eating less red meat and to increase your intake of phytonutrients.
In addition, you can protect your vision by having an annual physical
and eye checkup with your health care provider; eating a diet rich in
antioxidant fruits and vegetables, lutein and zeaxanthin; and supplementing
your intake with dietary supplements. In addition, exercise regularly
and block the sun's ultraviolet rays with sunglasses or a hat with a brim.
FAQs
Q: Is Vision Complete recommended for everyone?
A: Yes. Vision Complete is a daily dietary supplement for adults
interested in maintaining and protecting eye health.*
Q: Can Vision Complete replace medication?
A: Vision Complete is a safe, dietary food supplement and is not
a medication. However, questions regarding use or nonuse of medications
should always be discussed with your health care professional.
Q: Can I take Vision Complete with other supplements?
A: Yes. The ingredients in Vision Complete are compatible with
other supplements.
Q: What does the lens of the eye do and can I strengthen my lens?
A: The lens of the eye is similar to the lens of a camera; it
sharpens the image as light enters the opening. Supplementation with antioxidants
may strengthen the functioning of the lens.
Q: I've heard that it is important to maintain macular health.
How do I do this?
A: The macula lies at the center of the retina and controls central
visual acuity -- our ability to read, sew, drive a car and recognize faces
and colors. Research suggests that a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables
and supplementation with antioxidant vitamins can help maintain macular
health.
